I purchased this plaid skirt a million years ago at Screaming Mimi’s, a legendary vintage boutique in New York that’s a must-visit when I’m in the city. It’s survived countless closet clean-outs because I love the shape and bright colors. High-waisted plaid skirts are back with a vengeance, so I dusted this one off and styled it with a cropped sweater and structured blazer. I like showing that sliver of skin that’s set to become an even bigger trend this spring (clearly). There’s something major about a jacket hitting almost exactly where a miniskirt ends. Why else would there be a song about it?
